Our Story
Iowa Agricultural Mitigation, Inc. was formed in June 2010 as an Iowa 501(c)(5) non-profit corporation by individuals who were concerned and passionate about improving wetlands in the State of Iowa.
We provide a cost-effective, and highly successful alternative for satisfying mitigation obligations dedicated to providing high quality and economical wetland mitigation credits for purchase by customers like you with farmed wetland mitigation needs.
Our goal is to provide an alternative, high quality source of wetland mitigation credits in advance of your need for land improvement projects that result in impacts to farmed wetlands.
We're here to help if you desire to improve your farm operations by converting existing low quality Farmed Wetlands. Those wetlands may be replaced through the purchase of mitigation credits.

How It Works
If you are interested in converting Farmed Wetlands on your property to non-wetland uses, you may be able to purchase mitigation credits from IAM. This is an alternative to replacing the wetland areas on your own property The first step is to obtain a Certified Wetland Determination and Functional Assessment from NRCS. These should be submitted to IAM with a credit application.
