Are you interested in purchasing wetland mitigation credits?

IAMI is currently offering for sale wetland mitigation credits. Credits are sold on a first-come, first-served basis with drainage district projects having the highest priority.  Credit prices are currently $15,000 with no minimum or maximum purchase limits. Any portion or fraction of credits can be purchased.

Prior to submitting a Credit Application, please contact the Executive Director, Kim Perlstein at telephone 515-298-4974, or email at [email protected]. You’ll need to provide the location of the wetlands to be impacted:

• County
• Section
• Township
• Range

Kim will verify credits are currently available for your project.

You must include the following with your Credit Application​

• Copy of your Certified Wetland Determination, completed by your local NRCS office.
• ​Copy of your Wetland Functional Assessment for the areas to be mitigation, completed by your local NRCS office.
• Payment of $250 Credit Application fee (non-refundable). Make checks payable to Iowa Agricultural Mitigation Bank or IAMI.

Once the transaction is approved by Iowa Agricultural Mitigation, Inc. you’ll be provided a Credit Purchase Agreement for your signature and instructions on submitting payment for credits. The Credit Purchase Agreement will serve as your evidence for successfully mitigating the wetland impacts. A copy will be provided to your local NRCS office so they can update records for your farm.
